The students did a wonderful job working hard on the ISA test this past week! We are rolling right into the IAR tests starting on Wednesday. We will be starting each test first thing in the morning, so students should be sure to arrive at school on time. Encourage students to eat well and sleep well on test days!
Classroom Community Updates
In Math, we took our Chapter 9 test and then did a project with Mr. Braceros focusing on using percents in the real world. This week, we will spend Monday and Tuesday reviewing all of our fifth-grade skills before the IAR, and then get to work creating our annual Geometrocity. Over the next two weeks, students will be learning about 2D and 3D shapes while we assemble a city made of geometry. Reading and Writing were cut short this week due to ISA, but we will continue to explore nonfiction writing and poetry in between testing sessions. We finished our Social Studies unit on the Bill of Rights, and next week we will jump into our science unit focused on Ecosystems!
