We had a very busy first week back from Fall Break! We are finishing up Winter MAP Testing this week! See below for more details.
Classroom Community Updates
In Math, we finished up Chapter 4 focused on real-world problem solving involving multiplying and dividing fractions. This week, we will take our Chapter 4 Celebration of Learning and then focus on some problem-solving activities. In Science, students learned more about the properties of matter through the design of experiments related to gas. This week, we will take a short quiz on states of matter and then move on to the second half of our unit focused on mixing and changing matter. In Reading, we explored the different sub-genres of nonfiction and reviewed nonfiction text features. This week, we will officially kick off our nonfiction unit with new workshop rotations and explore the different structures of nonfiction text.
