This is our last Weekly Update of the year! The next two weeks are going to fly by and these gators will be Timberwolves before we know it! Thank you for a wonderful year of partnership and collaboration as we worked hard to help these fifth graders feel like they had their best year ever during their final year as gators!
I hope to see you all at the Goodbye Gator Ceremony on the last day of school. Students should wear their 5th Grade Shirts and arrive around 8:15. Families are welcome to come as we celebrate these fifth graders and kick off their last day at Greenbrier!
Classroom Community Updates
In Math, we have been working hard on understanding volume. This week, we will finish up Chapter 14 and take our Celebration of Learning on Thursday. After that, we will end the year with the 3rd Annual Math Hunger Games! In Science, Students have their Ecosystems Quiz on Tuesday and then we will spend the rest of the week working on our Final Ecosystem Models. In Reading, students are finishing up the Research Unit by researching a topic of their choice and using their knowledge to impact the world outside of our classroom. In Writing, the students just finalized their short fiction stories last week. We will spend the last two weeks working on Greenbrier Memory Narrative Stories. These will be hanging up at our Goodbye Gator Ceremony for all to enjoy!
