Say goodbye to snowy April and hello to May! The end of the year will be here before we know it and the students are working very hard to finish our year strong with lots of learning!
Classroom Community Updates
This week, we enjoyed our trip to Sunrise Lake on Tuesday despite some chilly weather! During Math, we focused on triangles and angle measures. This week, we will continue to work with classifying triangles based on their angle and side properties. In Reading, we finished our Poetry unit with a Celebration of Learning. Our last reading unit of the year will be a unique one focused on Nonfiction Research Skills. Students will expand upon our Ecosystems science unit by learning about the human impact on environments and ecosystems. We finished our last science unit of the year by finishing our Food Web models and harvesting nutrient-dense soil from our worm bin! We will be starting our final Social Studies unit of the year by exploring the expansion of America. In Writing, students continue to get creative in our fiction writing unit by expanding upon plot and conflict with fictional characters in multiple settings. This week, we will focus in on adding descriptive details and including effective dialogue.
